Please note that if you make such a request you may lose access to products and services that have been bought through Lakefest. We also reserve the right to hold some transaction data for taxation and legal purposes. You can request to view, change, update or delete any data we hold on you. Your personal information

As with most websites we track data from your computer such as your IP address and pages you visit on this website and the browser you are using. In addition any forms you fill in on our website will be stored potentially combined with other data you provide. We use this data to:

Data Sharing

A limited amount of your data is shared with 3rd party providers to allow us to perform the following:

Online purchasing – All ticket sales are purchased through Ticket Tailor and you are subject to their privacy policy which can be found here.

Analytics – Like many websites we use Google Analytics to track visitors to this website and also Facebook’s tracking pixel in order to measure the results of any Facebook Ads. If you do not consent to data being used by these 3rd parties then we suggest you disable all cookies in your browser settings. This may however cause functionality on some website to not work correctly.

Legal requirements – We may be required by law to hand over certain data to authorities in order to comply with any legal proceeding.

Security

We take security very seriously which is why we have several industry accepted standards to protect our data as well clients data. We use SSL encrpytion to encrypt any data transmission to and from this website. However any transmission of data over the internet can never be 100% secure.

If you wish to update, change or remove the data we have on you then please email us at info@lakefest.co.uk Likewise, if we make any changes to this document and you are a Lakefest customer then we will notify you via email.

OUR MOBILE APP

If you use the Lakefest Planner app, the following applies in addition to the rest of this policy.

NO ACCOUNT REQUIRED. You do not need to create an account or provide your name, email address or other contact information to use the app.

LOCAL APP DATA. Your favourites, planner preferences, announcement acknowledgements, read status and notification history are stored by the app on your device. The app does not send these choices to Lakefest, Firebase, advertising services or analytics providers. This information remains on your device until it is changed or reset within the app, cleared for a new festival year, or the app is deleted. It may also be included in device backups managed by Apple, depending on your device and iCloud settings.

FESTIVAL CONTENT AND OFFLINE STORAGE. The app downloads public festival information—including schedules, maps, images and announcements—from Lakefest’s content delivery service and stores some of it on your device so that it remains available offline.

Festival content is delivered using Bunny CDN. As with any internet request, Bunny CDN may process standard technical information needed to deliver and protect the service, such as an IP address or anonymised IP address, request time, requested file, user agent and approximate country. Lakefest does not use this information to identify individual app users or build advertising profiles.

PUSH NOTIFICATIONS. Push notifications are optional. If you enable them, Lakefest uses Apple Push Notification Service and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver festival news and important alerts.

Firebase Messaging records the Apple push-notification token and associates it with an app installation identifier used as the Firebase Cloud Messaging registration token. It also processes limited technical information—including device model, language, time zone, operating-system version, app identifier and app version—for notification delivery and topic subscription.

This information is not connected by Lakefest to your name, email address or a Lakefest account. The app does not include Google Analytics and Lakefest does not use notification information for advertising, cross-app tracking or profiling.

You can disable festival notifications from the Alerts section of the app or through your device’s notification settings. Disabling notifications stops future notification delivery but does not automatically remove notifications already stored locally in the app.

LINKS IN NOTIFICATIONS. Some notifications may contain a link—for example, to purchase tickets through Ticket Tailor. Links open only after you choose to tap them. When you visit an external provider, that provider may receive standard web-connection information and may use cookies or other technologies in accordance with its own privacy policy.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES USED BY THE APP. The app uses:

  • Bunny CDN to deliver festival schedules, maps and images.
  • Google Firebase Cloud Messaging to support optional push notifications.
  • Apple Push Notification Service to deliver notifications to Apple devices.
  • Ticket Tailor and other linked websites only when you choose to open an external link.

The app does not include advertising services, Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel or cross-app tracking tools.
