Road to Lakefest Terms and Conditions

1. By entering this competition you are agreeing to the following terms. Please read carefully before applying. The terms will apply to all members of your band.
2. Entry into the Competition is open to all UK residents.All entrants under 18 need parental approval to enter and if they make it through to Live stages need to have a Parent or Guardian over 25 with them at all events.
3. Road to lakefest will reserve the right to refuse entry to any musician in its absolute and sole discretion.
4. Entry is limited to one recorded performance.
5. To enter this competition, you must email road to lakefest email with either a YouTube/Spotify or SoundCloud link of you or your band performing. You will receive confirmation  that your entry has been received.
6. In your email you must state your acts name, and State which  semi finalist date is your preference , your full name, contact number and address. (This information will be retained in accordance to GDPR laws).
7. Entries must be received 1 month after opening date
8. Road to lakefest reserve the right to verify the validity of entries and acts, if we believe there is any  entrant who has failed to comply with these terms, or acted in an unlawful or improper manner we reserve the right to disqualify any act from the competition (including but not limited to being under the influence of drugs or alcohol or engaging in conduct likely to cause harm to themselves, other participants or any other third party).
9. The panel’s decision in relation to all matters pertaining to the competition is based on personal and professional opinions, although this may not be in agreement with everyone, our collective decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
10. Road to Lakefest reserve the right to change the format and details of the Competition for any reason whatsoever including but not limited to number of entries, time constraints and any unforeseen incidents and to substitute an alternative prize, if necessary. As such we will have no liability for any changes made.
11. The prize for this Competition is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, non-refundable and non-negotiable and cannot be taken as cash…except the cash part which will be paid after you have played at the festival
12. Road to Lakefest will have no liability for any expenses incurred by You or your Act when creating any Submission for the Competition.
13. You are solely responsible for the content of your Submission.
14. By entering this competition and submitting audio and video content, you are giving permission to Road to Lakefest and Lakefest to use the content in any competition marketing and communications.Including any video/audio taken of you during the competition process.
15. You warrant that you have and continue to have, all necessary licences, rights, consents and permissions necessary for the use of all content in your submission, including in particular any intellectual property rights in any images or music contained therein and agree to hold Road to lakefest and Lakefestfully harmless from any third party if your submission should breach their rights. This means, without limitation, that your submission must not be a cover version, contain samples, or otherwise contain any third party music or lyrics.
16. You agree to participate and cooperate as required in all editorial activities relating to the competition, including but not limited to being interviewed, recorded and photographed and use of the same in accordance with the rights granted above.

1. Road to Lakefest and Lakefest will not be held liable for any lost or late, illegible or inaccessible submissions or for loss of data (including the deletion, corruption or failure to store submitted submissions) or damage due to malfunction of or trouble with devices used to provide the website, or any part of the communication network.
2. To the fullest extent permissible by law, no conditions, warranties or other terms apply to the competition.
3. We will occasionally contact you to alert you of news relevant to your submission. Anyone who wishes to be removed from the process may do so at any time by contacting us directly at road to lakefest email
4. All entrants must be available for the Competition Semi-finals held at Cheltenham Cider festival on either 23rd or 24th May 2026. The finals will be held at The Brewery, Cheltenham on Friday 26th, Saturday 27th, Sunday 28th June. The winner will then be given a slot to play an evening weekend slot at Lakefest 2026, on the Main Stage. As well as £1500 prize fund and 3 days recording at Ox4 Studios and produced by Mark Gardiner(Accommodation not included) 2nd Prize of £750 and 3rd Prize of £500
5. The prizes will include one festival pass for each band member and a guest pass each for the weekend for everyone  who plays on the Road to Lakefest stage.
